This site sets no cookies. There is no banner to dismiss because there is nothing to consent to.
This site sets no cookies
Not for analytics, not for advertising, not for "preferences", not for anything. Nothing is written to your device when you read these pages, and nothing already on your device is read back. That is also why you have not been shown a consent banner: under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations, consent is needed to store or access information on your device, and this site does neither.
Local storage and session storage are not used either, and no service worker is installed.
No third-party trackers
There are no advertising tags, no remarketing pixels, no social media buttons that phone home, no comment system, no chat widget and no embedded map. Everything on the page — the text, the images, the typefaces — is served from this domain, so simply reading the site does not hand your visit to anybody else.
The one deliberate exception is a link. When you follow a "buy" link from the buy page you leave this site for a retailer, and that retailer will set its own cookies under its own notice. That is between you and them; I receive nothing back.
Nothing counts your visit
There are no analytics on this site — not a cookieless product, not a pixel, not a counting script of any kind. Nothing measures which pages you read, how long you stay or where you go next. Theprivacy notice sets out the little that the server handles simply to deliver a page to you.
The trailers are self-hosted
Both book trailers play from video files served by this domain, not from a YouTube or Vimeo embed. That is a deliberate choice: an embedded player would drop third-party cookies on you the moment the page loaded, whether you pressed play or not. Because the video is served from this domain, watching it sets nothing.
If any of this changes
This page changes first. If a cookie is ever needed — for a shop, an embedded player, or an analytics product that requires one — this notice will be rewritten and a proper consent mechanism will be in place before the change goes live, not after it. The date at the top of the page tells you when it was last true.
Controlling cookies generally
There is nothing to switch off here, but every major browser lets you block or delete cookies for any site, and the ICO publishes plain guidance on cookies and similar technologies at ico.org.uk.
This notice is a plain description of how this website behaves. It is not legal advice, and it is not a substitute for advice on your own circumstances.
